Take full-page screenshots in seconds
Capture a whole-page screenshot from any URL. Just enter your URL, and get your scrolling screenshot in seconds.
If you need to regularly capture full-page screenshots inside your app or inside your n8n, Make.com, or Zapier workflow, consider exploring our website screenshot API.
What does this full-page screenshot tool do?
This full-page screenshot tool captures a screenshot of the entire page, not just the visible part. Once you request a whole-page screenshot, we navigate to the page, scroll it from top to bottom, and take a screenshot of the visible area on every scroll. Once we have scrolled the entire page, we stitch the captured screenshots together and return the entire webpage screenshot to you.
Who is this scrolling screenshot tool for?
This scrolling screenshot tool is for those who need to capture long webpage screenshots on occasion, a few times a week or month. If you need to capture scrolling screenshots regularly, from inside your app, script, or n8n/Make.com/Zapier automation, consider exploring Screenshot Scout, our screenshot API service.
How to capture a full-page screenshot in a few simple steps
If you need to capture a screenshot of the entire page, follow these steps:
- Paste the URL of the page you need to capture.
- Decide on the image format of the resulting screenshot. For use on the Internet or for best quality in general, we suggest using PNG or WebP. If you need a smaller file size, consider using JPG.
- Decide whether you want to prevent cookie banners, ads, or chat widgets from appearing in your screenshots. Given the technical side of how full-page screenshots are captured, if the website is using cookie banners and/or chat widgets, these might appear in the upper part of the full-page screenshot, which is probably not what you expect. So we always suggest toggling the "Block cookie banners" and "Block chat widgets" toggles when requesting full-page screenshots.
- Emulate viewing the webpage on a specific device or in a browser of a specific width and height. If you need to emulate a desktop device, leave the settings "as is" or use a desktop device preset. If you need to emulate a mobile device, choose a specific device preset.
- Click the "Capture screenshot" button.
Because of how full-page screenshots are taken (scrolling from top to bottom, capturing separate screenshots of each visible area, then stitching them together), capturing a single full-page screenshot can take anywhere between 5 and 20 seconds, so be patient.
Once the screenshot is ready, you will see the preview in the browser frame on the right side. You can then either download the screenshot to your device, copy the screenshot URL, or open the screenshot in a new tab. Note that if you decide to use the provided screenshot URL, it will be accessible for only 4 hours, after which the screenshot will be deleted and the URL will stop working.
